Artificial Intelligence is fundamentally transforming software testing – but not in the way many expect. While AI promises significant efficiency gains, it simultaneously introduces new quality risks: more code, higher speed, but also more defects, uncertainty, and a growing need for validation. This talk explores why testing becomes the central quality authority in the age of AI and why the human role remains indispensable.

Using current examples, the talk demonstrates where AI delivers real value in the testing process, where its limitations lie, and why concepts such as human-in-the-loop and collaborative intelligence are essential for sustainable software quality. A key focus is the evolving role of testers: moving away from purely tactical execution toward strategic responsibility, risk analysis, and critical evaluation of AI-generated results.
